How good does that look? Our team of volunteers have continued their hard work clearing the railway corridor with another important section completed. It’s been hidden for a while but the line has now been cleared from the northern end of the yard, through to the Yareen Road crossing where the team have recently cleared a large section north of the road.

It really is getting exciting now as we push further toward Snowy Junction and take another step towards getting trains running on this section in near future.

There is still work to be done though, including:

🔹 Further vegetation control on the Snowy Junction end.
🔹 Replacement of select sleepers.
🔹 Dig out and clear drainage trenches.
🔹 Replace home signal.
🔹 Replace level crossing signage.
🔹 Paint and test level crossing equipment.

If you would like to help with this project, our team will be at the station on:

🔹 Tuesday’s 9.00am – 3.00pm
🔹 Wednesday’s 9.00am – 3.00pm
🔹 Saturday’s 9.00am – 1.00pm

If you would like to be part of getting trains running in the Monaro once more, please send us a message on Facebook or via email to secretary@cmrailway.org.au. Any help is greatly appreciated and you don’t need any prior experience.
